How to Properly Maintain Your Sports Flooring
Vinyl Sports Flooring with UV Print – Proper Maintenance Guide
Caring for vinyl sports flooring with UV print (e.g. graphics, logos, or lines) requires a delicate approach to avoid damaging the surface, dulling the finish, or abrading the print.
✅ 1. Daily Cleaning – Dry Maintenance
Use microfiber dust mops (e.g., antistatic "dust mops").
Do NOT use abrasive brushes or rough materials that could scratch the UV print.
✅ 2. Damp Cleaning – Gentle and Regular
Use mild, neutral pH cleaners (pH 6–8) specifically designed for vinyl floors.
Clean with a damp mop only – not wet – as excess water can seep into the seams and cause warping.
Recommended products:
Dr. Schutz, CC-PU Reiniger, or similar vinyl-safe cleaners.
✅ 3. Cleaning Machines – Only with Soft Pads
If using floor machines, equip them with soft pads – never abrasive!
Ensure low pressure and minimal water settings to protect the UV print.
✅ 4. Wear Protection
Install entryway mats to prevent dirt and grit from scratching the surface.
Avoid dragging furniture; use protective pads under chairs, benches, and heavy equipment.
✅ 5. Prohibited Activities and Substances
❌ Do not use acetone, solvents, bleach, alcohol, or aggressive chemicals.
❌ Do not use stiff brushes or abrasive pads.
❌ Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight – UV prints may fade over time.
✅ 6. Periodic Professional Maintenance
We recommend professional cleaning 1–2 times a year, with optional renewal of the protective layer (e.g., polymer or PU coating, if approved by the flooring manufacturer).
